Aretha Franklin, Music Legend, dead at 76

Aretha Franklin, iconic singer and legendary performer, has lost her battle with pancreatic cancer, surrounded by friends and family. She was 76.

Known as “The Queen of Soul, she won world acclaim for her powerful delivery and musicality, winning 18 Grammy awards and selling 75 million records world wide.

She sang at President Obama’s first inauguration ceremony, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, among many other honors.
